It’s been announced that we will host a ECUSKF Joint Kendo Practice on August 19 from 12:00 until 4:00pm. It will be at the Corryville Recreation Center located at 2823 Eden Avenue, Cincinnati 45219. The Corryville Rec Center is where we hold our regular Wednesday evening Kendo and Iaido practices. Kendoists from around our region are expected to attend; Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis, Dayton, Pittsburgh, and Columbus. 

Members who do not have armor will be able to participate. Bring your shinai (bamboo sword) to practice. Be sure that you know the kirigaeshi drill, as well as kote, men, and do strikes with a run-through. It’s an opportunity to get some training in with the highest ranking instructors in our region.

After practice we’ll meet for a get together with everyone for a meal. We’ll have an announcement about the location once it’s set. 

Awards and certificates will be given out at the after-practice dinner. It’s been a little while since we had our last get-together for awards, and some of the awards are long overdue.
